Community Ventures (Leeds) Ltd
Following several successful years as an NHS LIFT Initiative Community Ventures Leeds Limited (formerly Leeds LIFT Ltd) changed its name in July 2008.
The NHS LIFT Initiative was launched in 2001 across 42 areas nationally, through the Department of Health's commitment to the improvement of health and social care service provision in the communities that most needed renewed investment and support. Through a competitive procurement process Primaria, were chosen as the Private Sector Partner within Leeds, to form this unique PPP. Community Ventures Leeds Ltd successfully provides long term strategic estate support, management expertise and resources to deliver an improved primary health care system, through improved accommodation and related services.
The long term partnership between the public and private sectors is based upon a Strategic Partnering Agreement (SPA) between the Leeds health care providers and ourselves which is governed by the Strategic Partnering Board. The SPA concession is for a period of 20 years extendable to 25 years with agreement of all parties. The length of this partnership illustrates the strong relationship between the parties to the agreement and their associated shareholders.
The Company's business activities are managed by Community Ventures Management Limited through a Management Services Agreement.
Community Ventures Leeds Ltd has delivered a multimillion pound capital investment programme at a value in excess of £115m of new and refurbished accommodation and landlord services. The company secured project finance (through a mix of senior debt and equity) to deliver projects, together with partnership agreements with supply partners in the construction, facilities management, design, health planning, finance, legal and property sectors.
