Strategic Partnerships
Here you will find information regarding our strategic partnerships with both public and private sector partners, including the strategic context in which they were formed, shareholding and governance and general information about the companies.
The recent Health & Social Care Bill 2011 changes the infrastructure of the market in which we operate and as such adapting to the changing environment and being innovative and creating unique and well placed strategic partnerships becomes ever more important to the growth and success of our Group of Companies.
Provider regulation to support innovative and efficient services – The Health & Social Care Bill
"We are pleased to see that the government has recognised the importance of promoting integration but believe it is also important to recognize that for some services the use of choice and competition is also an essential route to deliver the best patient care." Mike Farrar, NHS Confederation (June 2011)
Adapting to these changes in service delivery and improving facilities from which they are delivered integrated within the community place our Company with its existing partnerships and private sector knowledge and expertise in a position to respond to these changing needs. Relationships with Foundation Trusts are becoming more important and recognising this, we have established strategic partnerships which will be able to respond the new operating framework.
Clinically-led commissioning – The Health & Social Care Bill
"Clinical commissioners have a crucial role to play in ensuring that care is integrated and delivered in the community, with maximum input of local people and patients. Also, by working to overcome the barriers between the NHS and social care, they will be able to provide patients with better, seamless and more accessible care." Dr. Michael Dixon, Chairman of the NHS Alliance (18th June 2011).
With the creation of Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) replacing the existing GP consortia, Community Ventures joint venture company, Leodis Community Ventures, is uniquely placed to be able to respond to these changes and influence these developments.
The Community Ventures Group is fortunate enough to have experienced NHS expertise within the management structure and also its shareholders, that it has foreseen the changing occurring and has built relationships with NHS and local authority partners, which enables us to be a strategic partner in discussions on how our local communities will respond to these legislative and structural changes currently being announced by the government.
