Jarrow Walk-in Centre

Northern Drs have successfully secured a 'Darzi' walk-in centre, which is a GP led project, within the Palmer Community Hospital, Jarrow, Tyne & Wear.

Northern Drs Community Ventures were engaged to manage the design and fit out of the new centre, which included refurbishment works to the following areas:

Consulting rooms, treatment room, dirty and clean utility, new reception and waiting area, office / registrar library and record room, an IT room, cleaners cupboard and disabled / male / female WC as well as the adjoining corridor.

The works were carried out over a five week period, working in conjunction with other services within the Hospital, liaising with staff and patients to ensure the works were carried out smoothly with as little disruption as possible.

The walk-in centre is now operational and delivering services to the patients of Jarrow, Tyne & Wear, and the Client is very satisfied with the result.
